Zeb’s Water Biom

Our bottle Biom has grown a lot since the last time I blogged. We now have grass that is 22 centimeters. We can see roots in the dirt. We have not yet put a fish inside, but soon we will add a beta.

In our bottle biom we have seen slight differences . We now have one blade of grass growing. Our water is clear, and the dirt is moist.

Today we put together a bottle biom. Eventually we will put a Beta fish inside. The following are the steps we took to create the biom.

1. We cut two 2 liter bottles.

2. We put gravel inside and filled with water.

3. We put a string through the bottle cap, with half in the empty and half in water.

4. We filled the empty bottle with dirt.

5. We sealed the bottles together.

🌟Having the string half in the water and half in the dirt is capillary action. The water will flow through the string and into the dirt which keeps the dirt moist and ready for plants to grow.
